Cradled in the spine of the Andes, Cusco breathes like a city between worlds. Stones laid by Inca hands still whisper beneath colonial arches; footsteps echo where empires folded into each other. Vagabond in Red: Cusco drifts through this living crossroads — between ritual and routine, between the weight of colonialism and the pulse of now. Markets hum. Cathedrals and temples share the same stones. The past doesn’t sleep here; it breathes. Cusco is not just a place on a map — it’s where the veil between our past and our sins is thin.

SACRED VALLEY, PERU

The Sacred Valley doesn't speak loudly, but it does scream its sacred silence. Carved stones, temple ruins, and endless terraces stretch across the land leaving ancient memories and mysteries modern man hasn't fully understood. This episode moves slowly. No interviews. No exposition. Just a pilgrimage a Vagabond takes through ancient sites like Pisac, Ollantaytambo and of course the famed Machu Picchu.. the real stars of this episode. It's a meditation on gratitude, memory, and the soft powerful practice of presence.

Runtime - 35:58

05

IQUITOS, PERU

At the far edge of the Amazon, the journey changes shape. Iquitos isn't just a final stop. It's a place where personal and planetary trauma meet. Here, oil meets jungle, tourists chase ayahuasca, and river people carry the weight of history and survival. The air hums with old stories, quiet questions, and wiser shamen. Between humid nights, river towns, and confessions - deeper truths arise. Poisoned water, vanished children, dwindling species, and a land bearing the scars of exploitation seek a voice. BOOK ONE of the Three Book Series

THE GATHERING THEORY

When a small-town group of children survive a lightning storm that should have killed them, they become bound by something far larger than they can understand. Years later, as young adults, they begin uncovering impossible connections — not just to each other, but to history itself. To unravel the mystery, they’ll have to confront what’s buried in their own DNA.

Aiden Whitcolm, a guilt-ridden addict with a gambler’s intuition, has already lost almost everything. But the same invisible threads that ruined his life are about to pull him back into something that could change it — and the world — forever. The government knows he and his friends are the key, but even they don’t grasp the full scope of what’s coming.

Science calls it The Merge. The ancients called it The Gathering. And the only way to survive it is to face the truth of who they are — and what they were never meant to remember.

PITTSBURGH, PA BASED FILM PRODUCTION, REAL ESTATE VIDEOGRAPHY & DRONE SERVICES

HARD MONKEYS PRODUCTION COMPANY WAS CONCEIVED IN 2020 BUT WAS OFFICIALLY CREATED IN 2022

Our Passion & Services
I've been known to take on real estate photography and videography jobs to pay the bills. I'll make your property look amazing. I shoot 4k video and 4k drone footage. I'll do walk though high res photography as well. I can even make a real estate agent a star.

I was a real estate agent in a different lifetime. That's my industry "standard" agent pic to prove it... so I understand some of the wants and needs.
Occasionally, I'll take on pro-bono work to help someone or an organization out. It also helps me build a portfolio outside of documentary filmmaking. I prefer a challenge and something I believe in.

Current tools of the trade are the Sony FX3, the Sony A7rV, a DJI Mini Pro Drone (4k, D-Cinelike), and in certain situations - the GoPro Hero 11. I also use DJI Wireless lapel mics along with a Sennheiser Pro shotgun mic.

I have an extensive vintage and modern lens collection to shoot for either for a nostalgic film look or a more clinical look.
Tom Lonero began studying filmmaking in the early 2000's but set it aside to pursue a different career. Around 2019-2020, he started to re-study film editing, colorization and digital filmmaking since nearly everything had changed from when he had gone to school for it nearly two decades earlier. He continues to follow that passion he had once set aside for the devil.
